Photo shoot

This is just a polaroid of one of the shots we took this week.  I’ve been working with the same photographer, the very talented Graeme Mitchell for almost 4 years and he’s been bugging me (nearly harassing, if we’re going to be perfectly honest) to shoot an all black & white lookbook.  While it wasn’t possible before, due to commercial constraints, I decided that I’m going to do this collection exactly how I want to do it, no holds barred.  The result of that is a look book shot entirely without models and very little focus on the clothing.  But I love it!

The plan is to turn this into a limited edition postcard book that can be used as a promotional tool (and sent out as pretty postcards).  The images turned out a little dark and foreboding, which might be a reflection of our combined personality, who knows!  All I know is I love them all and I hope everyone who gets a copy loves them too.

  1. It may dark and foreboding, but it also looks brilliant and perfectly natural.

If I the rest of pictures look similar, and if I actually had money, I would buy one of those books.

  2. The books aren’t for sale, they’ll be given out to everyone at the show. So if you’re in NY on September 15th, come to see the fruits of my labour at 72 Greene Street, 1 pm.
