A message from the Uniform Project

Hello friends and family,

Happy Holidays! I’m getting super excited about Christmas, the New Year, and… the mysterious what comes next. I wanted to thank you all for all of your support and encouragement this year while I tackle my enormous, exciting, new challenges. This Holiday Season is packed with excitement and anticipation on all fronts! With a baby on the way for the new year and  grand opportunities popping up for The Uniform Project, I’m not quite sure where to focus my excitement. Baby, U.P., Baby, 2012…hehe, it’s all so exciting. ; )

But, before we hit the New Year, I wanted to let you know about The U.P.’s holiday collaboration with the eBay Green Team who is matching all of our incoming donations during the holidays, doubling all monies raised for the Akanksha kids during December.* In the next few days through the end of December, we’ll be debuting holiday e-cards for every donation of $15 or more, so that people can make their donations a part of their holiday gift giving.

What do I want for Christmas? More kids in school!

Our goal is to get 175 kids in school by the end of 2009 (that’s another $30,000 and change) and we’d love your help in spreading the word. We hope you could give us a mention through your blogs, publications and social networks (like Facebook) and help us reach as many people as possible this holiday season.

With warm wishes and cheerful delight,

The Uniform Project

*eBay will match all donations made to The Uniform Project up to $15,000. Donations through The Uniform Project are not tax deductible, as we have not officially gotten non-for-profit status. For larger donations, we’re looking into how we can have them donated directly to Akanksha for deductibility, and still get them matched dollar for dollar by eBay. Ask me in advance if you’d like more info about this.
