Finally, here’s your chance to get some Study pieces for the holidays. I wish I could be in Toronto for the opening party!
Join us for a party at Thieves Boutique next Thursday, November 24th, from 6-9pm, when we introduce and celebrate our new fall artists/designers – Sartoria’s Sara Torrie, le zig le zag’s Sherry Kennedy, Study NY’s Tara St James and Nicole Bridger!
We’d also like to use this opportunity to thank all of you who voted for Thieves in NOW Magazine’s 2011 Readers Poll. Thieves’ Sonja den Elzen was the runner-up for the city-wide title of Best Local Fashion Designer, but was named the winner for the Queen West neighbourhood!

I know, I know… it’s been a while. Sorry Timo! To ease myself back into regular posts, I’m going to start a new series. Consider it an homage to the unpredictable nature of my favourite city, New York, where you can go out for one meeting and end up at 3 different events in the same evening. And you never know where you’re going to end up or who you’re going to meet. I’m going to call this series:
Who I met tonight…
I had the pleasure of meeting the two lovely founders of Daisy & Elizabeth (I’ll let you guess their names), a sustainable lingerie brand designed and produced right here in New York City. After a day full of meetings about the importance of local manufacturing, it was fitting to meet two recent graduates who just launched their own business and are dedicated to making their collection sustainably & locally.

It’s about time someone designed a more adventurous line of unmentionables for the ethical consumer. Thank you ladies!
